About
I am a public international lawyer with over ten years across international courts, academia and international law practice. Five years in Chambers at the International Criminal Court, drafting and advising in trial proceedings, and the Office of Public Counsel for Victims before that. My expertise sits in public international law and its procedure: the law of international organisations, international administrative law, international criminal law, international humanitarian law and international human rights law, alongside international economic law: investment law and arbitration, and trade dispute settlement.
I hold an LLM from the University of Cambridge (Hughes Hall; Commonwealth and Cambridge Trust Scholar), a Diploma in the Law of the Sea from the Yeosu Academy, and completed the Public International Law programme at The Hague Academy of International Law as an Emer de Vattel Scholar. I have taught law at BRAC University since 2016, as Lecturer and then Senior Lecturer.

UNCLOS, maritime delimitation, IUU fishing, the Indian Ocean.
Bangladesh and the Global South
Rohingya issues, citizenship and statelessness, self-determination and secession, and Bangladesh’s framework of engagement with international law.
Internal justice
Investigations, disciplinary proceedings and administrative decisions inside international organisations; staff rules and their procedure.
Evidence and fact-finding
Witness memory and credibility, expert evidence, and cross-examination on open-source material.
