Updates

It was a pleasure to speak about the work we do at the International Criminal Court — the legal framework, the Court’s structure and functions, and the challenges it faces — with students at the School of Law, BRAC University, and the School of Humanities and Social Sciences, North South University, on 23 and 24 December 2024 respectively. Special thanks to Professor Md. Rizwanul Islam and Mostafa Hosain for the kind invitations.

It was a pleasure to once again judge the Final of the English edition of the ICC Moot Court Competition. Great performances all around. Congratulations to all the teams, and kudos to the organisers — the Grotius Centre for International Legal Studies of Leiden University and The Hague Office of the International Bar Association.

It was an interesting experience participating in the ‘Mock Trial and Training 2023’, organised by the Association of Defence Counsel practising before the International Courts and Tribunals at the International Residual Mechanism for Criminal Tribunals, The Hague. Kudos to the organisers and fellow participants.

It was a pleasure to judge the Championship Round of the 2023 Dutch Qualifying Rounds of the Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition at Amsterdam Law School on Saturday, 25 February 2023. Congratulations to both finalists — the University of Amsterdam and Leiden University — and to all the participating teams.
